AHA LHB Day

There is really nothing like a club brew. The AHA LHD is no exception! If you have been out to the LHB we STRONGLY encourage you pack up you equipment, head to the Boonville and stake you claim of parking lot space (I would suggest a spot close to Dwayne D. and his famous coffee pot) and show off your skills.

OVHA July Meeting

This is the meeting that we get to sample the brews that our dedicated team of researchers have put together for us. We will all get to see what, if any, differences there are between beers brewed using extract kits, BIAB and traditional mash methods. Three nut brown kits were purchased from Northern Brewer and our researchers went to work. Dr. Gonzalez and his team split up and each took on their task of brewing a great beer with due diligence. The result was three fine beers. The test will be to see if anyone can get all three labeled correctly in a blind taste test.

Due to the Germania Maennerchor Volksfest, the OVHA July meeting has been moved forward a week to Wednesday July 22nd.

OVHA June Meeting

Ever wondered how beer was fermented in the old days?? John Dipple shows us how to collect and propagate wild yeast and what to expect during fermentation.

OVHA May Meeting

OVHA May meeting is all about the gadgets. If you have made a cool gadget that makes your brew day easier, bring it in a share your ingenuity! Bonus points will be earned if you have a print out to pass out that explains how to make your gadget.
