Super Efficient 50' 1/2" Copper Whirlpool Wort Chiller 1/2"

Post by msjulian » Mon Nov 12, 2012 7:07 pm

Selling my whirlpool chiller on eBay if anyone is interested.

eBay description:

This is a whirlpool chiller I built after reading the article on mrmalty.com. It is built with 50' of 1/2'' copper tubing (not 3/8). It comes with MALE connection fittings installed for garden hoses. All copper connections are sweat joints so the unit can be reconfigured to fit your needs. The whirlpool tube is not mounted solid so it can be adjusted for your boil kettle and batch size. I am selling because I have made the switch to a plate chiller and no longer need this chiller. This thing is a monster!!

Use with converted kegs and most kettles used for 5 or 10 gallon batches.

The measurements are: Approx. 10" diameter, 12" to the top coil, 21 1/2" to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle. I used with a converted keg. The height can be adjusted some by spreading the coils. If you need a lot more height the inlet and outlet are standard 1/2" copper tube and can be removed and new tubes sweated on.
