is there a place locally where you can get one of those micron stones like Weber or the co-op?

Regarding 0.5 micron stones
Working with a guy from SOCALBREWERS for $6. Should have ten in about a week.
I'll keep posting results.

Also, I noted that the oxygen tubing [where the cut ends were used] seems to be a real pain!
I just got my hands on 50 sets of 7 foot tubes with the bell ends on both ends. These should fit better at regulators as well as stones. They are only a buck each! I'll bring some to SWIRCA and then the next meeting.

Wanted to push this back to the top to let people know that the club still has additional O2 systems. They include a regulator, 160 liter medical grade bottle [full], tank wrench, 7' tubing with bell ends and 0.5 micron stainless stones are also available. [$48 for the lot]. For the reasonable future I can re-fill medical bottles for no charge [for OVHA members] although the bottle should last a long time.
It has also come to my attention [and based upon my own use] that the stone is a real pain to get to the bottom of the wort during attempts to oxygenate. I will look into some stainless tubing 1/4" which could be easily used [especially if one of the O2 bell ends will fit over the tubing!
Anyone interested let me know.

I know the price is a little steep, but this is what I have used for the past 5 years.
Very nice. Works perfectly and stays at the bottom of the fermenter.
