New to brewing

Post by Maydt » Tue Jun 07, 2011 7:29 pm

Hey guys,
I am new to brewing and have quickly moved to all grain, I would like to join your association and participate whenever possible. Unfortunately I live in Paducah Ky, but frequent evansville often to see family. I would also like to be included in any group grain purchases if there is room and happy to spilt specialty grain with whomever. Thanks

Welcome,

We have a sweet deal when it come to base malts. Turoni's let's us order grain with their (more or less quarterly) order, for near cost plus a nominal shipping charge and a little bit back to the club. In any case, it turns out to be far cheaper than retail. I think there was an order in April, I would expect another one in July or August. Jack Frey, the master brewer, will post on this board a couple of weeks before he orders.

Hope you can make a meeting sometime.
