Evansville Museum Brew-Ha-Ha 2015 Sign-up Sept. 26th 6-10pm

Post by Dwayne_Delaney » Sun Sep 06, 2015 2:42 pm

From the Evansville Museum Contemporaries website:
The Evansville Museum Contemporaries are proud to present their annual BREW HA HA for the 18th consecutive year. This year, Brew Ha Ha will be held on Saturday, September 26 from 6 – 10 p.m. Tin Man, Turonis, Carson's Brewery and the Ohio Valley Home Brew Association, as well as your favorites from our distributors Monarch and Working are a few of the brews that will be in attendance.

Brew Ha Ha is an excellent opportunity to try a wide variety of micro, specialty, homemade, and imported beers, as well as appetizers and live entertainment. Everyone 21 years of age and older is invited to attend.

ATTENTION ALL OVHA BREWERS! We are looking for beer donations and volunteers for this year's Brew Ha Ha at the Evansville Museum September 26th. Since this is an indoor event, we will be serving out of our jockey boxes only and will require 6 servers with license for OVHA. (2 shifts of 3) The museum has asked if we can provide an additional 8 servers with license to pour at other tables (2 hour shifts each). Anyone donating beer will be given guaranteed entry. As of now, the plan is to meet at Turoni's at 4:00PM to load up. We'll be entering via the museum's front entrance. (Please check back before the event to see if this has changed)

Please reply with beer(keg or bottles), license status and if you will be available for set up and/or tear down. All servers must have a valid servers license with them. Volunteers should wear their OVHA shirt if possible.
If you have any questions, just send me an IM.

With your help and generosity, we'll be able to again give our support to a very worthwhile local institution.

I was not sure how to contact anyone directly for this, so I'll just post it here. I have been in the hospital since sept 4. I had abdominal pain, ended up in the ER. They found that I have mesenteric vein thrombosis. Which basically is a blood clot is in a major vein in my small intestines. It has caused my small intestines to swell and is causing me lots of internal issues. Luckily it was caught in time and I won't have to have any dead intestine removed. I am also not dead myself.
That being said, I think it is best that Rachel and I bow out from participating in Brew Ha Ha. We really hate this option but we think it is for the best at this time.
I don't even know that I will have time to get anything ready by then to donate. I am very sorry, but once I'm back in good health we will certainly participate in future events.

Cheers! Drink one for me!

I can bring an English IPA and a Cream Ale.

Will help set up, and maybe tear down if I feel like it.

Unfortunately, I will not have a beer ready by then. I was planning a Pale Ale but I just received everything today and don't want to rush a batch out there.

I am still 100% in for serving, setup and tear-down though!

I talked to Nick last night, and he's going to be setting up Turoni's booth by himself late (probably 5 pm when he gets off work) and will be there by himself -- everyone else is a GABF.

I think he'd appreciate a hand getting the Turoni's van loaded and stuff hauled in at the last minute.
