CIDERFEST 2014????

Post by Dutch » Mon Aug 18, 2014 7:24 pm

I may have the go-ahead for a LARGE supply of local apples maybe up to a ton? I do have all of the equipment needed. I DO NOT have any time to devote this year due on this effort due to my house building management [of which I am in the middle]. If there is sufficient interest I may just be able to make this happen? We will need someone to do all the coordination as I simply cannot. What I can do is furnish the apple source and essentially all of the equipment but, I cannot be seriously involved.
A decision will need to be made maybe later this week.
It would be a really great help to simply indicate any interest in participation. Even better if one or two vols could take this on. This could easily be just a one-day event.

I can probably help and I think Jill might also. Any idea how much cider a ton of apples will make?

Since I won't be doing it - it does not really matter. There can be 2 or 20. they simply pick and process the apples they want for the desired volume of cider they are trying to obtain [if I can get things arranged] I would supply the equipment and someone else would supply the grunt! They do the cleaning and return said equipment I good order and voila CIDERFEST 2014!

Does someone want to volunteer to serve as coordinator for this project?
