Tested gravitates today. Both fermenters are at 1.014. I moved the fermenters into the cooler to crash cool & drop yeast. Way to go guys! One week of fermentation and done.

On Sunday, March 30 at 1:00pm, we will be racking the beer to the barrel. We also will be kegging half the beer. At this time, we need volunteers to keg and carbonate about 50 gallons or so. We will also need volunteers in a couple months when the barrel conditioned beer is ready to be kegged. Let me know if you will be able to volunteer a couple of kegs.

Hope to see you tomorrow at Carson's.

Look at Jeff & Dutch filling the barrel.
There is still another fermenter waiting to fill cornies.

The two fermenters were vastly different. One was very dark and clear. The other was more brown and a bit cloudy. We ended up blending the two so that everyone that brewed has a vested interest in the results. Due to the late notice, we didn't have enough participants and cornies to keg the portion that remained after filling the barrel. We will schedule fill day in the next couple weeks. Thanks so much to John for taking time out of his Sunday to help us amateurs.

Sorry for the short notice, but we will keg the barrel this Sunday, June 1, at 1:00pm. If you were one of the project's brewers, please let me know if you are available. If you are unavailable that day, you may drop off a clean keg and we will fill it. Just a reminder, we would like you to make half the keg available for club-sponsored events. We expect to fill 9-10 kegs. If there are not enough of the project's brewers available, then I'll draft some other club members. Again, please respond to this post if you are available.

Thanks!
Jeff Smith
