This year's bourbon barrel beer will be a stout. Don Heisler and John Mills are working together on the recipe. The brew date is TBD, but it will be no later than March 15.

The brew date for the 2014 Barrel Beer Project is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2014. We could still use brewers. Even if you don't plan to brew, you can come by and provide moral support.

If we get enough brewers we are going to fill a second fermentor and do the same stout as a "non-barrel aged" version. In other words we have room for anyone who want to come out a brew!!

Since Carson's has water on hand at strike temp there is no need to spend time heating up mash or sparge water. This time savings will allow me to brew a double batch. I am in for 20 gallons

Sorry, I have to back out. I am visiting my daughter in LA and forgot that we will be flying back that day.

Loyd, are you still just doing extract? If so, that's fine, we will just need to plan accordingly.
